10. Home Group are important. Back in October we had a presentation in church about house groups - or home groups as they can be known. They can be the means by which the members of the congregation can get to know and support one another as well as reaching out to the wider local community. One of our home groups has space for new people, so if you aren't yet a part of a Group now is your opportunity. If you'd like to find out more just speak to Barry or Diane Cross. They'll be happy to discuss.
11. MORNING PRAYERS ON TUESDAYS We meet for prayers every Tuesday at 10.00am in the Salisbury Room opposite the Office.
12. PRAISE AND PRAYER This small group meets every two weeks at Newington Trinity - Priestfield. Anyone is welcome to join others for this time of prayer from 7.30pm until about 9.00pm. We next meet on Thursday 16 April.
13. Foodbank Many thanks for all your generous donations of food and basic toiletries for the Foodbank. The response to the appeal for rice bought from the Fairtrade stall was amazing! All donations are gratefully received, but there is now a notice on the wall beside the donation boxes letting us know of particular needs. The notice will be updated every couple of months. Donations of money can be given to Fiona Ferguson or Julia Yarker who can also provide bank details for online transfers. Your support is a vital lifeline to people in need in our community.

FREEWILL OFFERING TREASURER . Despite several requests – going back to August last year - we still do not have anyone to take on the role of freewill offering Treasurer from Hugh Somerville. The role involves overseeing the rota for banking weekly cash offerings; recording offerings received in bank from bookkeepers and periodic receipts; liaise with Treasurer and bookkeepers as necessary; manage gift aid and claim back quarterly from HMRC; prepare annual budget and periodic forecast of offerings. If you are able to take this on please get in touch. The gift aid role role helps increase the congregation’s resources at a time when our expenditure exceeds our income.
FELLOWSHIP TEAM - invitation and help needed – would you like to help us organise fellowship activities, all ideas and volunteers very welcome - please email the Fellowship Team on
COMMUNION TEAMS We are making up teams for helping to serve the Communion elements at the 10.45am service 4 times a year. Serving on the Communion team is open to any member of the congregation - if you would like to serve once a year, please would you get in touch with Diana Tudhope (
